The hotel is very convenient, two steps from the famous Kurfürstendam Street. There are several very good restaurants with German, Greek and Vietnamese cuisine near the hotel. There is walking access to the zoo, KaDeWe, C&A, Tighten Park. There are several metro stations nearby. The hotel itself is located on the second floor of an old residential building. The settlement was quite original: after lunch there is no one at the hotel. So, using the code sent in advance, I opened the entrance door, and then the code lock on the box in which was my room key. I saw the hotel staff only the next morning.

Hotel in the heart of West Berlin.

As the name says, the "Old Gallery" has a feel of the old days in Berlin and the building must have seen the heyday of the old capital in the 1920s, and - sadly - also what came later.
Nowadays, guests are hosted in a handful of rooms which are still furnished in some sort of dated style. Pleasant overall, but our room was a little stuffy.
Breakfast is sufficiently varied and abundant, and the staff is kind and helpful.
The location is excellent, with several eateries nearby, and very close to Kurfürstendamm and public transport, and just a couple of bus stops from the Zoo station.
Although our room gave onto an inner yard, we could hear some strange, hissing noise coming from the yard around midnight, but then stopping and giving us a quiet rest of the night.

I liked the museum feel

Located in a quiet area, with public transport nearby so that you can move everywhere. A varied breakfast included in the price. Everything very clean and comfortable. The interior room is quite cool and pleasant for the heat that touched us during the three days we stayed in Berlin. It was a pleasure to get to the hotel at night.

All right, no complaints.

Kind of a mix of air bnb and a hotel. Part of a 1900’s apartment building. Well maintained but charmingly old fashioned. My room, 5 was large with a balcony. 
A little road noise but it’s a city so got to expect that. 

Great location in leafy Berlin suburb. 
You don’t see staff much as part time reception only but very helpful with directions and suggestions. 
Breakfast is simple but varied, continental only. 
Whole place as clean as a whistle. 
Good value. 

A taste of old Berlin 

On arrival, looking at the gate, it almost seems to happen in a concrete, but it is not. It is a real hotel, I would say a b&b. It basically occupies only one floor of the building. Classic furnishings, gentle staff and good cleaning of the rooms! It is a little far from Alexander Platz, but Berlin is very well connected to the subway. Overall I found myself well!

Good report quality price

If it were only dependent on the judgment on the camera economy this would have been a star...really unlivable!!! Quite a spacious room with two beds placed next to each other but only one dresser and one lamp, to hold things we had to use a chair; mattresses with the springs (ops, we meant the springs) that got stuck in the back; carpets and heavy curtains that caused persistent bad smell; very noisy as it overlooked the street and who almost finished the bathroom..... A square meter with the best water under the sink and shower that kept coming out and from which the water if you opened the sink drain!!! It's a real sin because the staff is really special (special to the waiting room), sir (the airports are very good, and the rest of the economy is very good, and the rest of us have a very good chance of getting to the basement, and the rest of the cabinets are very good.

Pros and cons

It's a boarding hotel from an apartment with classic furnishings, however neat and pleasant. The bathrooms are a little narrow, breakfast is buffet and it's good. Almost everyone speaks English. The area is good, well served for transportation and with lounges and shops. There's free wifi even if the room where I was didn't take well. They also give a permit to park the car (otherwise pay with parking meter in the surrounding streets) at 6 a.g.

Good hotel.

Nice hotel in Charlottenburg, 50 metres from the Champs Elysees in Berlin and 10 minutes' walk from the metro. Old house converted into hotel, room number 2, spacious, quiet, clean, in traditional German style, good bedding. Too bad there is no curtain, which lets the day in the room. Bathroom in the bedroom, clean and functional. Too bad the shower was slightly clogged. Full and full lunch in a nice room, fresh fruit juice, wineries, charcuterie, fruits... Good quality/price The free wifi works poorly in the rooms but perfectly in the breakfast room.

A satisfactory stay

I was on a short 4-day vacation in Berlin in this property, on the first floor of a building. The rooms are definitely spacious, except for the bathroom which is a euphemism to define as tiny....there is no room to sit and the sink is as big as a bowl. The staff is kind and speaks English. Good breakfast buffet included in the price. It is very close to the main bus stops including Tegel airport..20 min) and metro.
