The location, East Berlin, is barbaric. The place is a hostel, it would adjust the cleaning. Very good the breakfast. Sell the transport tickets and other attractions. Very good the heating. The right staff, the lack of honda.

First trip to Berlin

It is located just a few blocks from the tourist attractions, the Branderburg Gate, the Memorial to the Murdered Jews, etc. In a few minutes we arrived without using transportation. The first thing to clarify is that it has no ambiance like that of a conventional hostel, no kitchen, no fridge.. it looks like a hotel. Our bathroom in the room smelled like a cigarette, but we clarified that we were offered to change parts. Breakfast was quite complete, and the only thing that did not have was breaded sweets. Personal friendly and checked in quickly and cordial. A resaltar is the excellent location.

Location of the hotel is good since almost all the sights are within walking distance. I understand that the hotel will not be able to control who checks in however, we were unlucky that we stayed with a big group teenagers. The rooms are not soundproof and we can hear their loud conversations and running around in the early morning. If you are a light sleeper it will be a challenge.  The staff in the reception is helpful.

Hostel is in a great location, offers a great value for money and is well worth a visit. The facilities are decent and get the job done. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The bar is good with good cheap beer

Good value for money

The tour I was with used this hostel as their last stop, and to avoid moving I booked it for one extra night before I left. 

The first (twin) room booked by the tour was ok. Sparse, but ok. The quad share was different - the shower was really mouldy, the towels provided had holes in them. There weren’t any privacy curtains, so if the room light was turned on, everyone was woken up. There were small reading lights, which were helpful. Power points were oddly located, so at least one of the beds had nothing close by, requiring people to charge expensive items on the other side of the room to where they slept.

We had issues with the card not working multiple times (approximately 6 times in two days), and the staff at reception were generally.. flat. Not rude, but definitely disinterested and dismissive. 

Wifi was exceedingly slow. Breakfast was basic. 

Only worth it if cost is your main concern. 

You get what you pay for

We've only been here one night, centrally and simply set up, the only problem is that whoever stays here is financing the North Korean dictatorship, so we've been looking for another hostel, located in North Korean territory next to the North Korean consulate.

When we arrived we were met by two girls at the counter, showing indifference and little desire to work. In addition, among them they began to speak German, despotricating us without knowing that several of us understood the language... We arrived at the room, it was a room of 6 decent people (we were 6) but the bathroom was extremely small for the number of people.

A personal condolences to you.

The staff were very nice. The rooms are correct. That is, they only offer the essentials: beds, a sink, a shower, bath towels, a toilet, a table and chairs, a TV and a boiler. Nothing more. That's enough but not everything is very convenient: no bath mat, the TV remote control is to be withdrawn at the reception, the towels are also at the reception, no Wi-Fi room code, etc. The small bonus is that they offer a free service (even if security is not at the appointment).

The right hotel.

The best thing about this hostel is definitely the location, in the center and very close to the metro station. We stayed in a private room with bathroom, with castle beds, a metal closet of those with lock, basic bathroom and table. Cleaning leaves a little to be desired, especially in common areas, better in the room. The staff are very kind and available, nothing to say. The buffet breakfast is quite rich and good, what you expect from a hostel. If you don't have big demands and you want to save, it's a good choice.

Simple hostel but worth considering

It is very welcome, it is very easy to get the keys and to settle in the room. The room was rather clean overall, the bathrooms and toilets a little less. Overall we are not disappointed with the price because 39 euros per person for 3 nights is really reasonable!
