It's near Rembrant Square, at the foot of the canal. Spacious room and very good breakfast. But there are two hiccups: the first is that the bathroom is outside the room; it's private, but I mean you can never go out into the lounge unless you want to run the risk of running into some other guest staying in the B&B! And the second: the cleaning is not really of excellent quality, I don't feel like giving him 4 stars at all seeing the dust in the room.

Stayed here for a few nights. Really well placed to see Amsterdam right on the Herengracht Canal. It's not a b and b but cafes all around and 10% discount at the wonderful Brug34 across the road. Large double with large private bathroom on the same floor. Not suitable for those with mobility problems. It has a little fridge in the room and a very nice high end small supermarket across the road with bakery and lovely local wines meats and cheeses to make up picnics. Tip. When you arrive go around the corner into the bittenballen cafe to check in. It belongs to the owner Sal who is a lovely host.

Great Host / well placed for sightseeing.

Good location, near some very nice restaurants and on the No. 4 tram line.  We had booked this several months ago, and the price included breakfast. When we arrived we were told they no longer did breakfast, but they had negotiated a 10% reduction is we used the café across the road. I was having nothing of this, and they agreed to foot the bill for our four breakfasts - over £100, no laughing matter.

The room was a good size, and the bed excellent. The bathroom was advertised as being en suit. It wasn't, it was across the landing. The bathroom was OK, though the shower control handle came off. Water pressure/temperature just OK.

Back to the room . . . . There was a safe, though this couldn't be closed, and was not yet bolted to the wall . . .  ! The wiring, and the wall lights weren't fixed properly to the wall and were loose. Basically, it was in need of some TLC, basically a visit by a plumber, carpenter, electrician and painter. To finish, the fire extinguisher on the landing was hanging of the wall by one rawplug, and the stairway could do with much better lighting.  This is NOT 'luxurious' living. With some professional help, and some interior design skills, this could be quite a nice place. WE have stayed at many superb B&Bs in Amsterdam, but sadly, this was not one of them.

B&B in Amsterdam

When we arrived at 1 pm there was no one waiting for us and no sign with info.The room was not ready and we were given at 2:30 pm....and we find out that the bathroom was not in the room but on the dance floor even if only for personal use,....The breakfast was a disaster...the 1st day the bar where breakfast was served opened at 8:45 pm........the next day only to have just heated bread and 2 sliced we waited half an hour....and to consider that there are at the max 10 places for breakfast......to finish cleaning the sytanza at discretion!!!!!the first day we had to ask them at 4 pm...the room was clean!the next day they forgot to clean the bathroom......Insomnia still doesn't exist!The central point is very clear....but having paid for more than a day at the hotel...we have so many more positive possibilities to clean up Amsterdam!

I wouldn't recommend that...

The room was quite average with the bathroom across the hall... But my God the staff is so kind and helpful, smiling all the time. The bed was very comfortable, everything from the minibar was free and the bathroom was big with a shower and a tub too. In the bar Toon you get the same hospitality. I highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to spend a couple of cozy days. 

Kindest place in Amsterdam 

We stayed two nights in this little hotel. The room is very spacious with everything we need. The bathroom is in front of the room (1 meter across) but it's not too much of a problem because it's a big bathroom and bathroom!! with toiletries and sheets. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the breakfast that is quality and at will! Very nice plates and fresh fruit juices, we didn't eat until 4pm... In short, if we went back to Amsterdam we would go back to that same hotel.

B&B to forget... the positive aspects are only 2 the very central location and breakfast. The negative aspects are unfortunately more included the advance payment. When you enter the B&B the ramp of the stairs is not lit, there is not even a light point, on the corridor is attached a fatiguing piece of wood covered with white ant, which you do not know what it serves.... The walls are full of cracks looks almost like the house of the horror. The bathroom is not in the room but in front of the room on the ramp of the stairs without being able to close it from the outside, so any person can use it (private accocy ass), also the view is not better than given on a second floor full of beds, looking for a hidden current with the view of the room... I also hope that you can not have a good night's sleep...

B&B to forget about...

We stayed two nights in this B&B on the second floor. When we arrived at 9:00 in the morning, the hotel attached to the B&B agreed to keep our suitcases as on the day we left before joining our transport. Perfectly sized room with a place to sit by the windows to admire the view of the canals. Very clean and neatly decorated. Free WIFI. Bathroom that we used alone (we thought we should share it). Supplied products, just like the bath sheets. The Sdb is spacious, with shower and bathtub. Small lunch at the hotel restaurant. Very friendly staff and you can choose what you want on the menu!

That's great.

We stayed for three days in this BNB ideally located in the heart of the chic district of Amsterdam. Everything can be done on foot in the vicinity. Efficient accommodation that makes the Toon a modern bar on the corner of the street. Lovely and very clear room. The bathroom is modern and original. Breakfast is served by card at the Toon. Overall a very good address that I highly recommend. Beware of the following points so as not to be disappointed: - the BNB stairs are extremely steep. It will not be suitable for people with mobility difficulties - the bathroom and toilets are the platform of the hour.

Perfect for an Amsterdam getaway

Very well placed, nice room with a view of the canal, bathroom with shower and bathtub perfect, refrigerator with drink available very welcome, excellent breakfast we recommend this B&B for a lovers getaway
