Perfect for spending a few days in Santillana or travelling to any nearby towns and cities, all important towns and cities are within an hour's drive, and only a short drive away.

It's been a fantastic week.

Carmen is very friendly and serviced.The accommodation is located in a very quiet area on the outskirts of Santillana del Mar. You can walk (about 5-10 minutes).The room is very clean and the beds are comfortable.We were in the attic so the roof was used.We had a terrace (without tables or chairs).Great parking next to the house.

The wedding bed (room 102) was very, very comfortable, which we were very grateful to have arrived just after we had made the Cares route. The room is very nice and spacious. The bathroom looked new and the shower very spacious. The very friendly staff, special thanks to the lady mayor who warmed up the tupper we were carrying for dinner. Very attentive and friendly. We extended an evening longer than expected for the taste we were having. Of course, apartments of the bustle of the town, were just outside. The house and the living room are very nice.

We stayed one night and our experience was satisfactory, the room was very familiar, well equipped and clean, breakfast included simple but good for the level offered, staff attention very satisfactory.

It's a very cozy house, very well located, Carmen (its owner) is a very nice and affectionate lady mayor, she made us a delicious breakfast, she helped us with everything we needed, and we felt at home!

We felt like we were home.

The structure has 7 rooms with private bathroom, in antique style, offers a modest breakfast that consists of toast bread and butter and marmalade and a cup of watered coffee that is consumed in a large table together with the other guests in the center of the living room also in style.

Family stay

A very cozy place, impeccable cleanliness and with a super friendly staff at a very good price. You feel at home. Good breakfast, plenty and you can go whenever you want. Very comfortable private parking and very close to the center of town going by a road. WiFi throughout the hostel. The village is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

Stayed for 3 nights.
The positives;
In a nice rural setting a short walk from Santillana.
The attic room had character and a nice balcony.
The family running the place seemed friendly.
Easy, free parking.
The rooms were very clean.

The negatives:
The worst WIFI in our 3 months travel throughout Europe. Never got to full strength and would continually drop out using even 3 different devices. Extremely frustrating.
Noisy building, especially the stairs.
More rooms became occupied as we stayed and you found the walls are thin and there is a lot of noise.
When I noticed them checking people in at 10pm, I thought it was a little late. However, checking people in at 12:20 am is what huge hotel chains do. When they talk outside your room for 5 minutes discussing what to do around the place, means you are woken up. I was not impressed and told them to stop. Didn't work, they finished their conversation.
The breakfast consists of coffee, biscuits and a pice of toast and jam.
Lastly, I'm a dog lover but to find that in  two rooms the owners were allowed to have their dogs in the room is wrong. The owners at night, were continually taking their dogs out to go to the toilet. Making a lot of noise. Also I wouldn't want to be in a room that had a dog all over the bed, mat, etc.
All in all, disappointing, glad we left before it became a 1 star review.

Got worse the longer we stayed.

It's a minute's drive from Santillana and very convenient to get to and from. It has free parking. The breakfast is toasted bread, coffee or infusion, cookies and a soup and you can repeat it if you want. On entering we were a little shocked, because it's old and one of the rooms upstairs is buhardilla, but we were very happy because as the days went by we were more frequent. We came to sleep, the second we advised where to go.

Very well.

A small hostel, but with spacious rooms. Except for those on the upper floor which are very crowded. We were assigned a room that was behind the reception. As for breakfast... even if it is a hostel it would be preferable if there were separate tables so that the tourists could have breakfast with each other, not a large table sharing breakfast with other people.
