We found the owners to be helpful and friendly, and the place is easy to find on the main road. We did not sleep well in this place. There seemed to be a constant stream of slamming doors (esp the front door) which meant we were woken up in the night a lot. Coupled with this were loud conversations on mobile phones that you could hear pretty clearly from neighbours rooms. There was also a strong smell of smoking lingering in the premises which is something I do not like at all- I was under the impression it was a non smoking premises.

Average accommodation

Coming from South Africa we weren't used to such small rooms and steep stairs and so little space for suitcases. In comparison it was quite expensive. We did appreciate the breakfast and help with tesrsuramts in the area. 

A new experience

I was in London for work on a Thursday night and decided to extend my stay by 2 nights to see family and do some sightseeing. With about one week’s notice, this was the best value accommodation close to the centre. Everything else was about twice the price.

I walked from the station in about 15 minutes on the hotel is easy to find on the main road. The couple that runs the hotel is very warm and friendly. My room was on the top floor with a single bed, wardrobe, sink, and desk. Tea and coffee, making facilities were available.

Bathrooms and toilets are shared. There is a toilet on the top floor but the shower room is one floor down. They didn’t cause me any issues and there were never any queues to get in. The shower pressure and temperature were great.

I found the room to be too warm, but I usually do. The hotel and area are very quiet so I slept well. I didn’t have breakfast on site. There was a guest in the adjacent room that I couldn’t hear at all 

Everywhere was spotlessly clean, and the Wi-Fi works reliably 


Greag value stay with easy cimmute to central London

Stayed here with friends.  Easy to find and parking available.  Shops and pubs locally.
Welcomed by Sabina, who was very friendly and check in was nice and easy. 
You are given a street door key and explanation of the layout regarding breakfast room, etc.
It is a converted house so you can expect twists and turns locating the rooms. I was on the first floor but a friend stayed on the top floor and the stairs were very tricky but Sabina did ask if anyone had mobility problems so no doubt they would accommodate you on the ground floor if required. 
Rooms were compact but perfect for a short stay. I was in room 18 located at the rear and never really noticed the street noise overnight. 
The room had everything you needed even if a little dated.  The WiFi dropped in and out but not in the room that much to worry.  Coffee/tea/ toiletries replenished next day (room mate stayed second night).
The bed was so comfortable I had a great nights sleep. Plenty of storage should you need it for clothes and shoes. 
The evening before Sabina asked what time we would like brekkie. There were 6 of us to cater for so selected a time and even though we were a little late getting there we were welcomed with a good choice of food - cereal, toast, fruit, yoghurts, hot and cold drinks, pastries, etc.  Sabina took our individual orders for a cooked brekkie and everything was fresh, hot and tasty.
As we were sitting and chatting for ages and long past the cut off time we were not made to feel in the way and offered more tea and coffee even though brekkie had finished. 
There is a lovely garden to the rear if the weather is nice and you have the opportunity to use it.
Overall, the host was lovely and for a short stay, really comfortable and would recommend.
Would definitely stay here again - also good value for money.

Great for a short stay

We had a lovely welcome to Warwick Lodge. We were unsure about how to use the fan and they helped us straight away. Beds are so comfortable and we slept really well. The bathroom is a good size and very clean. Breakfast was very fresh and tasty. A great stay. We will stay again in the future.

Take a look at this amazing place.

Stayed here for the second time last weekend and wasn't disappointed. This is not a luxury hotel, but it is a comfortable, clean and very friendly place to stay for the night. Parking and wifi both free and location is decent. Pretty quiet even though it's on a main road. Hosts are absolutely lovely and I'd definitely stay here again.

Recommended for a friendly, value for money stay

Excellent value for money. Fantastic location.  Buses nearby, can walk into Surbiton or Kingston from here.  Lots of places to eat nearby. Ticked all the boxes. It was a revisit for us to this area after many years.  Exceeded expectations. I would recommend  room 15. Very quiet whilst on the main road and a lovely garden view.

Very friendly, very comfortable

Lovely warm welcome, very adequate for the type of stay we needed while visiting the tulip festival in Hampton Court.  All amenities working, rooms well cleaned. Well located with plenty restaurants, shopping around. Owner eager to be of assistant and friendly. Pity about no breakfast, thanks to covid 😞 but lots of good places around just down the road, within walking distance to eat at. Definitely recommended
